Iconic Uni of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Halls join Fringe Illuminations

The University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø’s North Terrace campus will be transformed into a living canvas of light, with three of its iconic and historic buildings participating in the ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Fringe’s .
Fringe Illuminations will see the spectacular buildings along North Terrace, including the University’s Mitchell, Elder and Bonython Halls, brought to life with colour, light and movement for the first two weeks of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Fringe (12-28 February).
Award winning large-sale and architectural projections company, The Electric Canvas, will be creating the artworks, which are sure to dazzle spectators as they walk through the stunning grounds of the University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø.
The University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø will be involved in numerous other ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Fringe and ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Festival events.
ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Fringe (12 February-14 March)
• Former University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Footlighters will be performing their revue , at the Holden Street Theatres, 10-20 February.
• Supported by the University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø's Confucius Institute, is a comedy show in Chinese for people who don't speak any Chinese, 12-23 February.
• Radio ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø will broadcast live from the on 13 February. They will also be featuring reviews, interviews and performances across the entire festival season, on air and online.
• brings together all the experience, skill and creative energy of the members of Basketry SA in an exhibition at the University’s Urrbrae House, 14-28 February.
• The ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø University Choral Society will be presenting their show at Estonian Hall, 19-20 February.
• The University’s Barr Smith Library Reading Room will be hosting , presented by the Lumina Vocal Ensemble, 20 and 28 February.
• The University’s Elder Hall will host , presented by Duo Contraste, 12 March. Macarena Zambrano and Callum Gunn, both graduates of the University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø’s Elder Conservatorium of Music, formed Duo Contraste in 2013.
ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Festival (26 February-14 March)
• Elder Conservatorium of Music graduates will be joining Icelandic composer Jόhann Jόhansson on stage at Thebarton Theatre as part of Unsound ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø, on 27 February.
ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Festival Writers Week (27 February-3 March)
• University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø alumna and award winning presenter, writer and journalist will be discussing gender, politics and her book The Wife Drought.
• University of ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Graduate and writer will be discussing An Astronaut’s Life, her debut collection of short stories.
